Feierabend in Omotesando

Auf der Suche nach einer entspannteren Atmosphäre in Tokio? 246 Common ist genau das, was wir uns unter einer städtischen Oase vorstellen.

If you ever want to escape from the metropolitan cage of central Tokyo without taking an hour-long train ride to the suburbs, check out 246 Common. We love to kick it here for low-key lunch, dinner or late-night outdoors drinking. Because sometimes you need a break from all the neon.

Sandwiched between tall, concrete buildings in the middle of the upscale shopping area, Omotesando, 246 Common is a collective of food trucks, bakeries, clothing and craft shops, and mobile bars. We're talking trailers, tiny shacks, and wagons gathered in an open space surrounded by skyscrapers. It's like someone scooped up one of the buildings and replaced it with a campground. It's a farmers-market-slash-outdoor-food-court-slash-beer-garden-right in the middle of one of the busiest districts of Tokyo.

We come here with our teammates to fuel up before a big night out and to relax in the funky, but still hip, atmosphere of 246 Common. Our favourite eats are the South Indian curry wraps and juicy burgers. Plus the bars are stocked with all of the tastiest craft Japanese beer.

The vibe here is all about community. Whether you're hanging out with teammates or making new friends, everyone is totally open. It's not unusual to see the owner of the curry place (have we mentioned how much we love them?) bringing a plate over to the bartender at the beer garden.

It's open year round, but the next few months are gearing up to be epic. On summer nights, the place turns into an outdoor block party packed with After Hours Athletes seeking refreshing beer, chilled white wine, or summery cocktails and chatting away the night in the open air.
